Had a blast with Base Camp Adventure!

Namaste everyone! I made 2 treks last june (one in the Langtang, the Gosaikunda trek and the other one in the Annapurna region the Ghorepani- Poon hill trek) and visited the Chitwan national park with Base Camp adventure and I really don't regret it. Shree, the tour operator organized everything as I wished and was full of good advices as I never went on a trek before and made everything very easy for me. And the guide, Raj, was also really nice, patient as I was never on a trek before, and made me feel very comfortable. I had only to enjoy the wonderful sceneries! I can only warmly recommand this agency very serious and professionnal! Dorothée

Great trip oct 2013

Took up city and trekking package with bAse camp. They do take care of their guests well. The city hotel and the lodging during trekking were very good. Our first day city tour guide Ramesh (DK'coussin)was very knowledgeable and was flooding us with information and we really appreciate his offer of information cos the subsequent city guide we got was total opposite ( we had to poke him for information and he wasn't too sure or keen, I am not so sure) Trekking was fun just wished we had trekked longer ( we took up the trek to Poon hill) and spend more time chilling up there instead of trekking such long hours. We enjoying taking tons of photos, stopping for tea breaks and also chatting away. Love the village of our last day up in the mountain but at last too little time. We sweat a lot a lot and we walked more like old folks than the foggies themselves.. Our kneel/ thigh/ ankle/calves were screamin on the 3/4th day. On the whole, we enjoyed this trip a lot and will be back for a longer trek! One of my top 3 trips ! Our crew was fantastic with guide Prakash, porters Rohit and DK. Prakash is very patient and knowledgeable andfun to chat during the Trek. There were superb. Thumbs up. They took really good care of us and we totally enjoyed the fun chat with them. Some side entertainment was also provided as Rohit is an excellent dancer/ photographer as well. DK, our serious looking porter who turned smiley at the end of the trip :) Great and unforgettable experience! Note: our van broke down otw to Pokhara and we were hot and fuming for 2 Hours while waiting for repair. And that's abt the only bad thing :/

Like one big family!
After looking around Thamel for trekking guides and getting a couple of quotes, Base Camp Adventures was our third quote and best. Shree was able to plan a custom trip within the time frame and budget we wanted. Everything on the trek ran just perfectly. All of the meals and accommodation were sorted and all we had to do was walk and enjoy this amazing part of Nepal. Our trek travelled through Ghandruk, Tadapani, Ghorepani and Poon Hill and finally Tatopani and the hot springs! Prakash, our guide, was awesome, always making sure we were OK, giving us information about everything from the mountains to buffalo and generally making us feel like one big family. I couldn't have asked for a better trek. Thanks for all the wonderful memories!

Exceptional Owner, Exceptional Company

While it took us some time to write this review (we visited Nepal in December 2013), we are still in awe of Shree's genuine friendliness and his impeccable service which is second to none. We stumbled upon Base Camp Adventure after talking to some other providers for a last minute request for organizing a trek to the Gorepani Hills. Shree welcomed us to into his office at 21:00 and it took us less than an hour to discuss and plan the whole thing and seal the deal at an exceptional price. Shree chose a great guide (Prakash) and provided for a perfectly organized yet flexible four day trek in the spectacular Gorepani hills including transport to Pokhara (while we usually enjoy taking public transport, it is simply more comfortable and more flexible to go for private transport if your budget allows it). On the way back to Kathmandu, Shree also arranged for a friend of his to drive us back in his Jeep after our flight got cancelled at the last minute. The epitome of great customer service however was his offer to give us a ride to the airport on the last night because he was going to collect a group of tourists from Canada. I'm sure you will read many company reviews and be torn by which one to take but it really is this simple - if you are looking for an honest, experienced, friendly and value for money company to explore the Himalayas with - choose Base Camp Adventure, you will not be disappointed! We are already planning to contact Shree for our 2014 trip to Tibet.

Absolutely amazing experience, with spectacular view and the most awesome guide! Ask for Jwala!!

We did the 5 day Poon Hill Trek. This was the first trek I have ever done and everything about it was perfect! Basecamp organise everything from transport, hotels and food which made it super easy. The trek itself was very easy going - quite a few stairs to climb but nothing to crazy. And our wonderful guide Jwala was super supportive and told us to take it as slowly as we liked!! (Vistari, Vistari!!!) I would highly recommend Jwala to anyone! ... He was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely patient, funny, kind and taught us so much about the mountains and Nepali culture. At one point my knee started acting up and he insisted carrying my bag for me untill I was feeling better, he really made the trek wonderful. We stayed up every night playing cards and chatting which was also great. Definitely request him if you go on any of the treks, he is now a life friend of ours. The scenery itself is also the most beautiful thing I've seen! You go past rivers, jungle, forest, terraces, villages, mule (mountain trucks haha) and beautiful Himalayan scenes. Don't pass this trek up! :)
