Itinerary
Flight duration: 35-40 minutes
We will start our 3 day trek to Everest Base Camp journey with a scenic early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Our representative will pick you up and then transfer you to TIA airport from where you can take a flight. Moreover, we can observe majestic views of the snow-capped mountains of the region.
There are various other natural landmarks, including green hills, serene rivers, and deep mountain valleys. Besides that, you can also observe landmarks of the region from a different perspective during this flight. It takes around 35-40 minutes to arrive at Lukla.
The Lukla airport, also known as Tenzing Hillary airport, is also considered one of the most dangerous airports in the world. It has a runway of just 500m with a cliffside on one side. There you can observe incredible natural landmarks of the region. You can also explore the beautiful wildlife and flora and fauna of the area. You will spend the night at a Lukla tea house or lodge.

After breakfast in the lodge and observing the beautiful Himalayan sunrise, we will continue our journey. We will continue our journey with a beautiful helicopter tour from Lukla to Everest Base Camp. You can explore the region from up above. This different perspective of the region will enchant you along the trail.
After arriving at Everest Base Camp, you can explore around and observe tents of climbers. The majestic views of snow-capped Himalayas all around will enthrall travelers. There are various other landmarks that you will observe before returning to Lukla in a helicopter.
There is a magical all-around 360-degree panoramic view of Mt. Everest, Mount Ama Dablam, Mount Nuptse, Mount Cho Oyu, Mount Makalu, Mount Lhotse, Mount Chocolate, and others. The helicopter will either land on Kala Patthar or Everest Base Camp, based on the weather condition of the region.
The stay at Everest Base Camp is for about half an hour. We can click as many pictures of this place and enjoy breakfast observing the scenic view before returning. You can also travel to Namche on a helicopter and then trek back to Lukla. You will arrive at Lukla by trekking in a few hours. Namche Bazar’s trail to Lukla passes through various settlements of the region, including Phakding.
Namche Bazaar is a famous Himalayan town and commercial capital of the region. People from all around the Khumbu region come to trade in the Namche Bazaar. The trek back to Lukla from Namche would take anywhere between 5 or 6 hours, based on your walking speed.
The beautiful green vegetation and natural landscapes of the region will enchant any traveler. Trekkers will also pass through forested trails with rhododendron, juniper, and oak trees along banks of the Dudhkoshi River. We will pass through various suspension bridges along the route as well. The trail also provides you with a view of the tip of Mount Everest from viewpoints along the trail. The scenic journey will finally lead you to Lukla, where you will spend the night at a teahouse.
Besides that, you can also return to Kathmandu on the same day if the weather permits. However, unpredictable weather is quite common in high-altitude regions, and late flights are not possible. Hence, this option is only available in good weather. You will stay at a lodge in Lukla. If you take a flight back to Kathmandu, you can stay in a hotel in the evening.
After waking early to observe the beautiful Himalayan sunrise, we will have our delicious breakfast. We will then take the scenic mountain flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu. Our representative will then take you to your destination as our 3 Days Everest Base Camp Trek ends.
