The Langtang Circuit Trek begins after a drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi.
The trail of Langtang Circuit Trek presents you the dense forest of rhododendron, oak, and bamboo featuring the rich wildlife of Langtang National Park along with the stunning views of Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges. The trail thereafter leads you alongside Langtang River and takes you to the various villages in the Langtang Valley, including Langtang village and Kyanjin Gompa. The ancient monastery of Kyanjin is considered the most sacred monastery in the entire region and also offers amazing views of the Langtang and Langshisa ranges. A side trip to Tserko Ri (4984m) allows you to get a surreal view of stunning mountains like Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Langtang Lirung (7227m), Langshisha Ri(6427 m), and so on. The trek then takes you back to Lama Hotel and heads towards Shin Gompa which then takes you to the sacred lake of Gosainkunda. Every year thousands of pilgrims visit this lake to take a bath in the holy lake for salvation. Especially during the full moon in August, this place is thronged with thousands of Hindu and Buddhist devotees. The trek continues towards the beautiful Helambu valley via Laurebinayak La (4160m). Crossing dense rhododendron and oak forests, you reach beautiful villages enriched with pleasant climate and natural beauty until you get back to Kathmandu, marking the end of the trek. Hence, this trek is a combination of Langtang Valley Trekking, Gosainkunda Trekking and Helambu trek, with spectacular Himalayan views, peaceful lakes, thundering rivers, isolated villages, cheerful people and peaceful environment, is truly a heart wrenching trekking route.

Crossing the Suspension bridge of Bhote Koshi River and walking through the forest is the first step that you take in order to reach Lama Hotel. The route you are trekking in enables you to witness much wildlife. You will pass through bamboo forests and after that the trail is steep. Finally hurdling through steep terrains, you reach Lama Hotel. Overnight in Lama Hotel.
Enjoying the view of Langtang Himal range in the backdrop, today you head towards Langtang, which is the largest Tamang settlement in entire Langtang Region. You will trek alongside Langtang River and through lush rhododendron forest until you reach Ghodatabela. Continuing your trek through uphill climbing, you will reach Langtang village. Overnight in Langtang village.
Trek to Kyanjin Gompa is comparatively shorter than the treks you’ve had the earlier days. If you start in the morning from Langtang village, you’ll be able to reach there by lunchtime. The place is famous for cheese production and the ancient monastery of Kyanjin, which is revered as the most sacred monastery by the Tamangs of Langtang region. The monastery also hosts an alluring panorama of the Langtang Lirung (7227m), Langshisa Ri (6427m), and Dorje Lakpa (6966m). Overnight in Kyanjin.
In the morning, you will hike up to Tserko Ri (4984m) which provides the beautiful view of various mountains, valleys, and glaciers. The mesmerizing panorama of the Langtang Himal range, Dorje Lakpa range, and Langshisa Ri (6427m) seen from the top of Tserko Ri is one of the best views of this trek. You then head back to Kyanjin Gompa and explore the village. You can visit the cheese factory and try fresh cheese as well. Overnight in Kyanjin.
Leaving Kyanjin Gompa behind, you retrace your way back to Lama Hotel following the trails of Langtang River. The trail goes through dense rhododendron forests and passes the villages of Langtang, Ghodatabela, and Gumanechok to reach Lama Hotel. Overnight in Lama Hotel.
The trail from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru goes downhill through bamboo and rhododendron forests. After the gradual descend from Bamboo, you will cross the bridge over the Langtang River and ascend for a while to reach Thulo Syabru. If you are lucky, you may spot a red panda in this trail. Overnight in Thulo Syabru.
This trail of today goes uphill through beautiful rhododendron, bamboo, and pine forest. The Himalayas like Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges are seen along the route. Then, after a few hours of walk, you will reach Sing Gompa, which is commonly known as Chandanbari. There is a cheese factory in Chandanbari, where you can enjoy the freshly prepared cheese. Overnight in Chandanbari.
Today’s trek is comparatively difficult as you will need to make steep ascends to reach Lauribina. However, the trail is beautiful as it passes through beautiful rhododendron forests. The trail offers the great view of Ganesh Himal (7422m), Langtang Lirung (7227m), and several other snowy peaks. Although a little challenging, you will find the trek worth it when you reach the serene Gosainkunda Lake. The holy lake is visited by thousands of pilgrims every year and standing beside the lake while immersing in its beauty, you will understand just why the lake is deemed sacred. Overnight in Gosainkunda.
From Gosainkunda, the trek goes northeast and takes you to Lauribina Pass (4610m). You will get an amazing view of Gosainkunda and the lakes surrounding it as you stand on top of Lauribina La (4610m). Crossing the pass, the track heads downhill till you reach Phedi and then the tracks full of ups and downs eventually take you to Ghopte. Overnight in Ghopte.
From Ghopte to Kutumsang, the trail goes downhill passing through the dense forest of oak, pine, and different types of rhododendron. During the trek, you can also witness beautiful scenery along with the fortunate views of wildlife. Finally, the trail takes you to Kutumsang, which is a small village mainly inhabited by Sherpa people. Overnight in Kutumsang.
Today you will have to walk through the forest and pass through different villages as you make your way to Chisapani. You will cross small passes like Gul Bhanjyang, Thankune Bhanjyang, and Pati Bhanjyang to enter Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, on whose border Chisapani is situated. Chisapani is the small village that is located beautifully against the snowy peaks of gorgeous mountains. Overnight in Chisapani.
After enjoying an amazing view of the sun rising over the Himalayas, you leave Chisapani and follow the trail through the forest to reach Sundarijal. You will mostly descend through the lush forest and with the view of rolling hills until you reach the waterfall area of Sundarijal. You will then walk down the stone stairs to reach the bust station in Sundarijal, from where you drive back to Kathmandu and then to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Today you will be escorted to the international airport for you further departures.
