You will have the first glimpse of Ganesh Himal Range when you cross the hills and leave Kathmandu behind to arrive in Betrawati. Gradually, the trek takes you through several Tamang villages like Kispang, Gongga, Tipling, Jyamrung, and several others, each hosting amazing views of the Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal ranges. As you stop at some of these villages, you will get plenty of time to learn about the culture, tradition, and lifestyle of the Tamang ethnics. The innocence and warmth of the Tamang people here on the foothills of Ganesh Himal Range is a unique experience altogether.
During this trek, you pass through dense forest and beautiful meadows crossing the passes of Sing La (4045m) and Pangsang La (3850m) that offer you stunning views of various snow-capped mountain ranges, especially the Ganesh Himal Range. The trek follows a quite trail offering you to immerse in the most pristine form of nature. You are able to witness layers of lush hills that make astonishing views for you to relish. The beautiful rivers, waterfalls, terrace farms, and traditional houses add charm to this already satisfying Ganesh Himal Trek.
Leaving Kathmandu behind, your trip into the Himalayas starts with a picturesque drive to Betrawati, which is a beautiful village on the banks of the Trishuli River. As you descend into Trishuli valley, you will pass through adjoining hillsides to Trishuli Bazaar, where a thin road crosses several edges to reach the small town of Betrawati. After arrival in Betrabati yo start trek to Kispang (1600m), the path mounts gradually all the way to Kispang through villages and jungles for four hours. Kispang is a small village, which is inhabited by the Tamang community. You can rest for sometimes and then roam around the village. Overnight in Kispang.
You will reach Thulo Chour after walking 6 hours approximately, after passing many monasteries, stupas, farms, and waterfalls. You will be able to cross many Tamang villages and observe the Tamang way of life. After ascending on a ridge through the forest, you finally reach a pastureland, from where it is a gradual walk to Thulo Chaur. Overnight in Thulo Chaur.
You climb slowly through a thick, mixed forest of rhododendron and pine. Several wild lives such as deer, langur, and wild boar are seen as you trek along the trail to Gongga. On reaching Gongga, one can experience the most stunning views of Ganesh Himal Range. Overnight in Gongga.
Today you will walk through the forest enjoying stunning views of the gigantic Himalayas against the lush forest of Pikhuri Danda. You will be making a lot of uphill and downhill climbs amid the picturesque landscape to reach Rupchet. Overnight in Rupchet.
Today it will be a vertical trek to cross Sing La Pass (4045m). After the exhausting hike to the top of the pass, you will be rewarded with astonishing views of the Ganesh Himal Range along with the gorgeous peak of Langtang Lirung (7227m). After relishing the alpine atmosphere on the pass, you climb down sharply for 4 hours to reach Kharka. Overnight in Kharka.
Today, you will ascend through the lush forest filled with mixed vegetation. The trail then descends to Borang, where huts laid with black slate stones are seen with a colorful vibrancy. Walk through fields of barley and maize accompanied by the beautiful view of Ganesh Himal I (7429m) and II (7118m) in Borang. Overnight in Borang.
The early part of your trail goes slightly up until you arrive at a ridge above Netrawati River. From here, you can enjoy remarkable views of Ganesh Himal Range, farming terraces, cascades, and several villages at a distance. Afterward, your trail turns downhill and uphill respectively to reach Jharlang. It can be best labeled as a Tamang village with its rich culture. Overnight in Jharlang.
Beginning the trek from Jharlang, you walk through a narrow path leading out of the village. Descending along lush forests dotted with small hamlets, you make your way to Kintang Phedi. Finally descending along the river basin of Netrawati, you reach Kintang Phedi. You can spend your free time in Kintang Phedi by breathing in the cool breeze on the banks of the confluence of Netrawati River and Kintang River. Overnight in Kintang Phedi.
The trails from Kintang Phedi to Khahare Bazar are filled with magical views, which can bring a smile to your face. You proceed through the rice fields while walking on a flat easy trail following River bank. Overnight in Khahare.
Today you will leave the Himalayas behind as you drive back to Kathmandu. Following the beautiful Trishuli River and enjoying the picturesque landscape throughout the drive, you arrive in Kathmandu. You will be transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu, after which you can choose what to do with your free time in the capital. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
