Mardi Himal Trek is a new short and amazing trekking route in the east of Annapurna Base Camp (4130m). This circuit trek leads you too dense forested areas through rocky hilly terrains with no human settlement en route. This is a perfect trek for travelers who want to spend time in nature with no crowd. This trek offers breath-taking views of valleys and beautiful landscapes of the Annapurna region. The trek also features gorgeous views of the Annapurna massif, Machhapuchhre (6993m), and Mardi Himal (5553m) making it a visually satiating retreat.

Your trek will start from Pokhara. You will drive to Kande which is a 1-hour drive and begin your trek. The trail will give you an amazing view of the Himalayas. The trail will lead you to Australian Camp (2060m), and after a little walk downhill, you will reach Pothana. Climbing up ahead you will reach Deurali, and after an hour walk through pine forests and rhododendron forests, you will reach Forest Camp. It is a quiet walk from Forest Camp to Low Camp as there are no settlements along this route. The trek moves through tranquil bamboo, rhododendron, and oak forests with the peace only broken by the hissing of streams and chirping of birds. The trail gives you exceptional views of snow-capped mountains like Annapurna South (7219m) and Patal Hiunchuli (6441m). The final destination of the trek, Upper View Point, offers a mind-blowing vista of the Annapurna massif along with the peeking peak of Machhapuchhre (6993m) and a close-up view of Mardi Himal (5553m). The return trail takes you to the Siding village which is located very close to the beautiful waterfall from where you retrace your way to Pokhara and then to Kathmandu.

Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be picked by our representative and then transfer to hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu. Accommodation: Hotel
Distance: 200 km Duration: 7 Hours Accommodation: Hotel Meals: Breakfast This city is full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples of Buddhist and Hindus along with mountains. As you approach the city, there are wonderful views to the north across the hills and Phewa lake to the white peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. This drive will take most of the morning, leaving much of the afternoon for a relaxing boat ride on Phewa Lake
Duration: 3-4 Hours Accommodation: Guest House Today after breakfast, you will drive to Kande via Pokhara Baglung Highway which will be about 1-hour drive. From Kande, you will start the trek as you ascend past Australian Camp with a stunning view of Machhapuchhre (6993m) in the backdrop. The trail will give you a panoramic view of the Annapurna range and Pokhara valley that will further lead you to Deurali.
Duration: 7-8 Hours Altitude: Accommodation: Guest House From Deurali, you will climb uphill towards Forest Camp. Trekking through a forested trail full of rhododendron trees, you reach Forest Camp and then you will gradually climb through beautiful rhododendron, bamboo, and oak forests to reach Low Camp. The walk will be 4 hours long, and you will get stunning views of Machhapuchhre (6993m) and Mardi Himal (5553m). You will stay overnight at Low Camp.
Duration: 4-5 Hours Altitude: 3,600m Accommodation: Guest House Today you will climb to High Camp (3600m) through the lush forest of rhododendron and oak. The uphill climb will provide you with gorgeous views of the snow-capped Himalayas like Annapurna South (7219m), Patal Hiunchuli (6441m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), and Mardi Himal (5553m). The trail has no settlements whatsoever, so it will be a quiet journey through the forest to reach High Camp. Overnight at High Camp.
Duration: 8-9 Hours Altitude: Accommodation: Guest House After having breakfast, you will climb uphill through a forested trail to reach the Upper View Point (4200m). After reaching Upper View Point, you will have a magnificent view of Mardi Himal (5553m), Annapurna I (8091m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), and other mountains. You will trek back to High Camp and and continue to Sidding.
Duration: 3-4 Hours Main Attractions: Waterfall Accommodation: Hotel Today after having a delicious breakfast, you will you will drive to Pokhara by a private jeep. After reaching Pokhara, you will stay overnight at the hotel.
Duration: 7-8 Hours Accommodation: Hotel Early in the morning, we leave Pokhara as we drive back to Kathmandu on a tourist bus. (You can either drive or take flight). Enjoying the amazing greenery and the villages along the highway, we arrive in the capital. Upon arrival, you can either rest in your hotel room or explore the nearby markets. Accommodation: Hotel
You will be transferred to Airport 3 hours before your scheduled flight.

Trek Equipment:
We are advised to consider the following equipment as these are essentials while packing for the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Adjustments to the list can be managed according to the requirements, interests, duration of trip, and season of trip. We can find variety of these gears to rent or buy in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Majority of the gears which are in sale in Kathmandu and Pokhara are locally manufactured and some are imported from china and they are much cheaper. And there are some famous branded gear shops in Thamel, Kathmandu.

– Lightweight and comfortable hiking boots: fit them with hiking socks and wear them wherever possible before you go to trekking. Get the best hiking boots for plantar fascists, if you face plantar fascists problem.
