Planning to trek the base camp of the highest summit of the world? Well, you need to get your stuffs ready before you even start moving. So what are the things you need?
After being in the business for over a decade, we know what exactly is needed during base camp trek. So here are the most common things you need when you are preparing to go:
SLEEPING BAGS & ACCESSORIES
A must on all camping & budget lodging tours! All types of sleeping bag are available, from light weight synthetic bags for summers in the desert southwest, to heavy weight down feather jacket to keep you extra warm in the Himalayas.
We recommend a comfortable pair of “trail walkers/cross trainers” for hiking and activities, plus a good pair of sandals for use around camp. Take a look and find the footwear that will be most appropriate for you while on tour.
HEADLAMPS & TORCHES
Nothing worse than searching around in the dark of night for that loo-role! A good torch is another essential on any camping tour. Why not opt for an environmentally friendly wind-up torch, or the new style Petzl headlamp torches are your best bet to keep your hands free.
RUCKSACKS & BACKPACKSM
Although not essential, we do recommend a small backpack to carry everything you need throughout the day (camera, I-pod, water bottle, sunglasses). For trekkers on longer journeys we recommend investing in a full-sized rucksack as well.
Another “must have” item on tour! While exploring the national parks and desert wilderness you’ll wonder how you could ever have lived without one. ‘Greener’ than store-bought bottled water, cheap to buy and essential to carry!
ACTIVE OUTDOOR CLOTHING
Pack light, pack right! As is the case on any journey through varied climates or terrains, we recommend layers of light-weight, quick-dry clothing. Check out this comprehensive range of clothing from North Face, Berghaus and more.
OTHER TRAVEL ACCESSORIES
Obviously, the list above is just a start, but check out our complete packing list and other essential travel items; including everything from insect repellent to power adapters; and from money belts to toiletries and wash kits.
SUN GLASS AND SUN’S CREAM
It is very important to carry sun’s cream to protect your skin from sun and as well as sunglass which makes easier to walk you in sunny day.
