About the Route

Annapurna Base Camp Trek In February

In particular, we will start our journey with the scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. This two-hour drive passes to the scenic settlements in remote landscapes. From Nayapul, we start our trekking journey as we trek to Jhinu Danda. Thereafter, from Jhinu Danda, we pass through a dense bamboo forest to arrive at the settlement of Bamboo.

Furthermore, from bamboo, we continue our journey through a bamboo forest to arrive at Deurali. Likewise, as we move along the trail the vegetation starts to decline. Also, the route starts to get challenging as there are tough and rugged terrains. From Deurali, we will trek to our ultimate destination of Annapurna base camp via Machhapuchhre base camp.

Day 01: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and Trek to Jhinu Danda

We will trek through the beautiful Annapurna region. We will pass through the settlements of Birethanti, Kyumi, Siwai, along the forested trails before arriving at Jhinu.

You can observe ancient settlements of various ethnic communities including Gurungs, Magars, Tamangs, and others. We will arrive at the destination of Jhinu Danda after trekking for around 5 hours. Jhinu danda hot spring is a famous site where you can relax and take a hot bath. We will explore the region and spend the night at a teahouse in Jhinu Danda.

Day 02: Trek from Jhinu Danda to Bamboo

Maximum altitude: 2310 meters (Bamboo)

Trekking duration: 6 hours

Early morning breakfast later we will start our journey from Jhinu Danda towards Bamboo. There are stone trails that make the trekking journey quite challenging. You will pass through scenic waterfalls and beautiful villages and bamboo forests along the journey.

There are large settlements of Sinuwa and Choomrong between Jhinu Danda and Bamboo. In these villages, you can find local people busy in their daily activities like farming and animal rearing, and other agricultural activities. Day 03: Trek from Bamboo to Deurali

We will start our journey from Bamboo to Deurali early in the morning after having breakfast. Our trail passes through a dense bamboo forest. After arriving at Himalaya, we can observe a glacial river down below.

Day 04: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp

Maximum Altitude: 4130 meters (ABC)

Trekking duration: 5 to 6 hours

After having early morning breakfast we will start our journey from Deurali to Annapurna base camp which is our ultimate destination. The uphill climb on tough landscapes will take you past the avalanche site. The inspiring 360-degree views of snow-capped mountains is one of the highlights of our journey.

Trekkers need to be careful in higher altitudes rocky and slippery terrain. We will first arrive at Machhapuchhre Base Camp after working for a few hours. We will rest and explore around the base camp. Hence, this will help you with acclimatization as you will need to spend the night at ABC.

In addition, trekkers can get breathtaking views of the Annapurna range of mountains including Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre Himal, Annapurna III, Mt. Day 06: Trek from Sinuwa Danda to New Bridge and Drive to Pokhara

Will have an early morning breakfast in the cinema before continuing the trek back to Nayapul. Besides, we will pass through the forest trails back to the Chhomrong village. From Chhomrong village, you can either take the right to Ghandruk or left towards Jhinu Danda.

It will take you along the same path that you took earlier to arrive at Jhinu Danda. Chhomrong to Ghandruk pass through Kimche and finally meet Siwal at the old trail. In fact, this is a new route and will provide you with a new perspective of the Annapurna region.

From Siwal, we pass Birethanti along the bamboo forest to arrive at Nayapul. Thereafter, the Annapurna base camp 6 days trek comes to an end in a pool as we take a scenic bus drive to the lake city of Pokhara.
